Oak Creek Canyon offers stunning colorful leaves in the fall, cool and shady hikes in the summer, and light layers of snow in the winter. Getting to Oak Creek Canyon is equally stunning from Sedona to Flagstaff via Highway 89A. The scenic drive includes towering red canyon walls, rushing creeks, and lush forests all through windy switchback roads.
When visiting Oak Creek Canyon, we encourage travelers to visit Indian Gardens Cafe and Market, a historic establishment built in 1947. Slide Rock State Park is set on a 43-acre apple farm and features the famous “Slide Rock” that runs 80-feet long into the creek. Garland’s Oak Creek Apple farm is a must-visit during the fall for real apples and fresh apple cider.
